Features Flexible and easily wrappable. Can be tailored and cut to size. Stays where you put it. Does not stick to gloves and instruments. Easily removed from the site following hemostasis. May be left in situ when necessary. Resorbed within 6 weeks. Achieves hemostasis in an average of 4.4 minutes. Maintains its integrity in the presence of blood and is not dispersed when wet.
Description Surgical Hemostats First Stop absorbable collagen hemostat. FirstStop is a non-friable, non-woven product that offers superior handling and removal characteristics. It can easily be cut to size and tailored to fit the wound. FirstStop products are not dispersed when wet and can easily be peeled away after hemostasis is achieved. As the collagen forms a gel layer continuous with the underlying tissues, removal of FirstStop does not disturb the clot on the tissue layer. Available in small pad size and 2.5 cm x 5.0 cm as dimension.
