  • Description The FASTak II Suture Anchor is a fully threaded 2.8 mm diameter titanium suture anchor that is inserted directly into bone without predrilling using either a powered handpiece or manually with the Tear Drop Handle, Keyless Chuck or the handled version. This implant is ideal for Bankart and SLAP repairs as well as other small anchor indications while still providing very high pull-out values. FASTak anchors are available with #2 FiberWire suture or Tevdek suture. Three styles of cannulated inserters are available to accurately position the anchor and to achieve an anatomic reconstruction. The FASTak II Spear has a thin metal wall and is supplied with a trocar tipped obturator. The spear is ideal for percutaneous insertion during SLAP repairs and insertion through the subscapularis without using a cannula. The cannulated clear guides provide unsurpassed visualization of implants during insertion and are available in a straight or offset configuration. The Offset Clear Guide enables the surgeon to accurately reproduce a 1.5 mm medial offset relative to the glenoid rim. The cannulated guide is an inserter that has a stiff metal wall and a large dovetail tip for accurate positioning on the glenoid rim. The stiff wall construction enables the surgeon to apply significant bending forces while leveraging soft tissue without damaging the instrument. It is recommended that a cannula be used with cannulated clear guides and the metal cannulated guides.
