  • Wire lumen for free movement on BareWireTM
  • Hydrophilic surface coating to reduce protein and platelet adhesion
  • Internal nitinol frame to deploy filter and capture debris
  • Polyurethane membrane to eliminate contact between the nitinol arms and vessel intima
  • 140 micron pores to allow blood flow while effectively catching embolic debris
  • Radiopaque markers to improve visibility and facilitate filter placement
    • Description With BareWire technology, the wire crosses the lesion first, independent of the filter and delivery catheter. All other actions, including filter placement and retrieval, balloon dilatations, and stent placement then occur over the wire.

    Emboshield is designed to capture emboli that can break off during a carotid stenting procedure, and it is the only filter to feature Barewire, a proprietary technology developed to allow for better control of stent placement once the filter is in place and fully apposed against the vessel wall.
