| Description | Traditionally, when choosing a non-contact diagnostic lens, doctors have to make a trade off between wide field of view and high magnification. Now, with the Digital Wide Field lens just introduced by Volk Optical, doctors can have both in one lens. This lens provides the widest field of view available in a non-contact lens paired with the higher magnification required for detailed diagnostic work and imaging. The Digital Wide Field offers magnification and small pupil capability similar to Volks popular 90D lens, but with a much wider field, enhanced resolution, and reduced glare and reflections.
With a 103/124 (static/dynamic) field of view, the Digital Wide field provides visualization similar to a contact lens, without the associated interface solution application and patient discomfort. At the same time, the .72x magnification produces a more detailed view of the macula and disc. This two-in-one design saves time usually spent switching lenses mid-exam. The Digital Wide Field lens design also provides excellent visualization for patients with small pupils. The lens design and high index glass construction result in a high resolution image, preventing distortion and granular images even under increased slit lamp magnification. The lens shape and a coating optimized for visible light reduce the incidence of glare and reflections, producing better traditional and digital slit lamp photographs. Like all Volk non-contact lenses, the Digital Wide Field is constructed with the companys patented double-aspheric design, resulting in an undistorted image across the entire lens surface. |
