Features	Provides 100% sensitivity for the FV:Q506 mutation as determined with optical and electromechanical coagulation analyzers. Validated, FDA cleared test kit removes the uncertainty of in-house research methods. Normal plasma control and heterozygous FV Leiden control provided for verifying results. aPTT based assay is faster, more convenient and cost effective than PCR. Strongly reduces the influence of pre-analytic variables. No difference between fresh or frozen plasmas. Allows for testing of plasmas from patients on oral anticoagulant (OAC) or heparin therapy. Functional protein C levels will not affect the assay. Utilizes the natural occurring coagulation inhibitor activated protein C (APC), not a nonspecific snake venom activator. Two convenient kit sizes (Coatest APC Resistance V and Coatest APC Resistance VS) to fit your needs.
Description	An APTT-based kit for the screening of factor-V-related APC resistance. The high sensitivity and specificity of the test for the factor V:Q506 mutation is obtained by prediluting the sample plasma with an excess of V-DEF Plasma bioreagent. The test design makes it possible to discriminate between heterozygous and homozygous factor V genotypes. It also allows for analysis of plasma from patients on heparin or oral anticoagulant therapy. High discrimination between genotypes with 100% sensitivity for FV:Q506. Reduces need for PCR determination. Applicable to anticoagulant treated patients. Coatest APC Resistance V exclusively detects inherited APC resistance due to mutations in the factor V gene.
