Description The cervical spinal compression plate acc. to Matzen is used for the anterior stabilization of the cervical spine (HWS) with the exception of C0-C2. The implant provides for the immobilization of the fusion length until the bone transplant has consolidated. The plate is fixed anteriorly on the vertebral bodies, if possible along the center line. It has instrument repositor: distraction, which is necessary to remove the vertebral disc, conversion in compression after filling with bone transplant. Compression plate: cranially and caudally slotted for use of the repositor, mono- and bisegmental application, connection of plate with special screws.
