Features The operator can perform an analysis on the cells utilizing the built-in mini computer. The operator, using the mouse, places a dot in the center of 50 contiguous cells. A few minutes after the operator left clicks the end box, the results of the cell analysis will appear on the screen. The results include:
  • Cell Count (CD)
  • Degree of polymegethism (CV)
  • Degree of pleomorphism (6A)
  • Corneal Thickness
Description The CC-7000 is a mid range space saver specular microscope. It has the ability to take a non-contact picture of the corneal endothelium automatically. It also has the ability to measure the corneal thickness in the central area. The image of the cells is displayed on the 9" monitor, which is supplied with the system.

This model is exactly the same as the model CC-5000 with a few very important exceptions. The CC-7000 will also measure the thickness of the cornea. (Pachymeter) The CC-7000 will automatically measure the thickness of the cornea at the same time it photographs the corneal endothelium. Therefore in three seconds you have a picture of the cells and the readout of the corneal thickness on the screen.

The other exception over the CC-5000 is the CC-7000 will allow you to perform "cell analysis not just cell count. Cell analysis is a special built-in computer program that will determine and display three main parameters. The first is "Cell Density. All of the models will give you this information. But only the models CC-7000, SP-8800 and SP-9000 will offer the following results. They are, degree of polymegathism (The variance in sizes of the cells) and the degree of pleomorphism. (The percentages of cells selected that are six sided.) This information is much more informative than just "Cell Count. Once again the image and the results can be printed at this time or processed in a computer.
