Carriazo-Pendular

ProductsCarriazo-Pendular
Company SCHWIND eye-tech-solutions
Item Carriazo-Pendular
Features
  • Unique "pendular" movement
  • Ball shaped cutting head protects the corneal center
  • Vertically centered coupling of ring and head in front of the eye
  • 360 free choice of hinge position
  • Also well suited for very small and deep set eyes due to minimum dimension of suction rings (19mm)
  • Multiple built-in safety features
  • Description The Carriazo-Pendular microkeratome is based on the principle of convex applanation of the cornea during the cut.

This results in the cornea being applanated evenly from the beginning of the cut to the end. This ensures that the intraocular pressure does not vary to the extent it does with conventional flat-plate applanation.
