Description	The CairCooler system delivers cold air to the patient by way of a Bair-Hugger® blanket, at temperatures down to 10C. Cooling the body below the normal physiological temperature has long been used as a therapeutic tool, particularly for the control of fever. Inducing mild hypothermia is now widely used as a treatment for traumatic brain injury and ischaemic stroke. Recently, research has indicated that mild therapeutic hypothermia may improve neurological outcome after cardiac arrest.
