ProductsCEMEX System
Company Exactech, Inc.
Item CEMEX System
Features
  • LOW MONOMER: With its 3:1 powder-to-liquid ratio, Cemex's unique low monomer formulation exposes the surgeon, O.R. staff and patient to 33% less monomer than traditional 2:1 bone cement systems.
  • LESS HEAT: The amount of heat released during polymerization (setting) is directly proportional to the amount of monomer used. Cemex's reduced monomer results in less heat, minimizing the potential for thermal necrosis.
  • LESS SHRINKAGE: During polymerization, contraction or shrinkage of bone cement naturally occurs. Cemex's reduced monomer results in shrinkage that is two-thirds less than traditional bone cements.
  • SIMPLICTY IN PREPARATION: Easy Set-Up With no nags to open, no complicated mixing system and no hoses, cement preparation time is minimized. In just a few simple steps performed by one person, the cement is ready to use.
  • No Foreign Particles: The integrated system eliminates the risk of foreign particles (such as glass) falling into the cement during mixing.
  • Optimized Mixing: Since the powder and liquid components cannot be spilled, integrity of the bone cement's properties is maintained.
  • Minimized Monomer Vapors: The enclosed system minimizes the release of monomer vapors into the operating room environment.
  • Compact System: Minimal packaging reduces shelf space and bio-hazardous waste. SAFETY IN APPLICATION
  • Low Monomer: With its 3:1 powder-to-liquid ratio, Cemex System's unique low monomer formulation exposes the patient to 33% less monomer than traditional 2:1 bone cement systems.
  • Description Cemex features a unique self-contained delivery system that has been clinically proven in Europe for more than a decade. By integrating bone cement powder and liquid into a sealing mixing system, Cemex is designed to offer surgeons and operating room personnel simplicity, safety and reliability.
