Company Scient'x
Item CC Cages
Features
  • Stabilisation ensured through neutralisation of the axial compression forces and through conservation of the interbody space.
  • The shape of CC cages ensures durability of the interbody space preservation.
  • Horizontal and vertical stabilisations favour early rehabilitation.
  • CC cages are anatomically designed to fit the intervertebral disc space.
  • The upper and lower convex shaped surfaces are notched to achieve stabilisation of the implants within the vertebral end plates.
  • CC cages offer an optimal grafting surface to enhance the quality of the ar throdesis.
  • Description The CC cages are designed to facilitate an arthrodesis, either by an anterior or posterior approach. These are interbody cages allowing radicular compression by restoring the height of the interve rtebral space and of the foramina, which in turn enhances osteogenesis. The CC cages are particularly indicated for major lumbar instabilities. CC cages are made of PEEK polymer (poly (ether ether ketone)), a biocompatible material which allows a per fect visualisation of the osteogenesis by radiolucency. Two metallic markers facilitate orientation and location of the implant on imaging. This material presents a modulus of elasticity (Youngs modulus) close to that of cortical bone, improving the biomechanical interface. CC cages fulfil the requirement for the stabilisation and safety.
