Description The CARDIA ASD Occluder has been developed for the transvenous closure of atrial septal defects. Introduced through transseptal venous sheaths the device offers a safe and reliable method for the percutaneous closure of ASD's with a super low profile. A self centering mechanism is incorporated into the twelve arm device for optimal positioning and stability in the ASD. An integral locking delivery and retrieval mechanism ensures safe and stable positioning of the CARDIA ASD device within the atrial septum. The CARDIA ASD device is fully retrievable both before and after release.
