Blumenthal Suturelysis Lens

ProductsBlumenthal Suturelysis Lens
Company Volk Optical, Inc.
Item Blumenthal Suturelysis Lens
Features
  • Unique design facilitates excellent suture removal post glaucoma surgery
  • High magnification for enhanced visibility
  • Enhanced stabilization of the treated area facilitates procedure
  • Excellent performance on patients with thick Tenon's or other difficult cases
Description The new Volk Blumenthal Suturelysis lens provides unprecedented visibility of trabeculectomy flap sutures, enabling cutting sutures which, with other suturelysis lens designs, are relatively inaccessible. The lens provides localized compressive forces and magnifies the appearance of the suture 2-3 times, resulting in enhanced visibility in difficult situations, and smooth & easy suturelysis in routine cases. The pointed tip enables applying a strong compressive force that adds to the visibility and stabilization of the treated area. This feature is particularly beneficial with patients with thick Tenon's layer or a subconjunctival hemorrhage. For additional information on the new Volk Blumenthal Suturelysis lens or other glaucoma diagnostic or treatment lenses, please contact Volk Optical.
