  • Works with AutoPPI to obtain positive patient information directly from the patient's barcoded wristband
  • Using a PDA at the patient's bedside, SafeTx checks patient compatibility labels and blood product information and warns the caregiver of any discrepancies
  • Standardizes operating procedure by leading the caregiver through a step-by-step process for specimen collection, blood product pick-up and transfusion administration
  • Prints a chartable report eliminating the need for manual transcription and eliminates recording errors
  • Records electronically every transfusion event in a database to provide a complete audit trail with easy access for quality management
Description The Transfusion Safety Management system ensures your patients are receiving the proper blood products and care.

BloodTrack SafeTx uses the AutoPPI™ barcoded wristband to positively identify the patient from sample collection to transfusion. SafeTx checks that the correct blood is transfused and reduces the need for bedside paperwork and associated transcription errors. In addition, SafeTx Manager provides you with a printed audit trail.
