Description BloodSTOP iX is the ideal hemostatic gauze for a variety of inpatient and outpatient Ob/Gyn procedures. A silky gauze, BloodSTOP iX is easy to handle and can be customized to fit into hard to reach bleeding sites that are often a challenge faced by obstetricians and gynecologists.

BloodSTOP iX can be used to control bleeding in outpatient procedures such as the loop electrosurgical excision procedure (LEEP), colposcopy, cryoablation, dilation and curettage (D & C) procedure, conization, and hysteroscopy. BloodSTOP iX can also be used in inpatient surgical procedures such as caesarian section, hysterectomy, fibroid surgery, laparoscopy, and oncological surgery.

BloodSTOP iX is easy to apply to a bleeding site and quickly accelerates clotting. For a wide area bleed, the surgeon can place several gauzes to stop the bleeding so he can focus on his operative task. Once the bleeding is controlled, BloodSTOP iX can be removed with saline irrigation prior to closure of the operative site.

LifeScience PLUS makes two hemostatic gauze products: BloodSTOP and BloodSTOP iX. They are both water-soluble hemostatic agents made from the finest completely natural cellulose. BloodSTOP hemostatic gauze is often used externally because of its cost-effectiveness; it is made of oxidized cellulose. BloodSTOP iX is used primarily internally; it is made from etherized regenerated cellulose and typically stops bleeding 80% faster than traditional methods and reduces blood loss by 60%.
