    • Description The Bio-Post and Washer System offers a bioabsorbable PLLA screw post for suture or soft tissue fixation in ligament repair or reconstruction. The tapered 35 mm length and cancellous screw design provide maximum fixation in cortical and cancellous bone. Ideal screw length can be intraoperatively determined and the screw cut to length with a Rongeur if necessary. Each sterile screw comes with a 16 mm diameter smooth and spiked washer option that can be snapped onto the screw head to maintain an elevated washer position during screw insertion. The three-pronged driver maximizes insertion torque strength and alleviates stripping. A pilot hole is predrilled and decorticated prior to screw insertion. The smooth, concave-shaped washer option is used to securely trap attached sutures and bulky suture knots atraumatically under the low profile washer to eliminate potential soft tissue irritation. The spiked washer option facilitates direct soft tissue or ligament fixation to bone. Bio-Post fixation strength exceeds 1000 Newtons in pull-out force testing.
