  • The BeStent2, a laser-cut stent, is the latest in a succession of Medtronic AVE stent systems for use after coronary arteries have been opened with balloon catheters in a therapy known as percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA). The BeStent2 stent system incorporates a number of features designed to optimize scaffolding, radiopacity and deliverability while providing customers with another choice of product to treat coronary artery disease.
  • Crossing Profile. The advanced laser cut design of the BeStent2 incorporates an ultra-low crossing profile, which is designed to facilitate lesion access.
  • Discrete Technology provides for precise alignment of the stent on the balloon, thereby minimizing the balloon overhang extending beyond the ends of the stent.
  • Secure Technology is a patented system designed to ensure that the stent remains securely attached to the balloon during delivery, positioning and deployment.
  • AVEd Balloon Technology uses a material that has excellent refolding, uniform expansion and a rated burst pressure of 16 atmospheres.
