Square threads increase resistance to shear forces, reduce localized stress concentrations and provide a "press-fit" in the vertebrae to enhance segmental stability and improve bone remodeling. BAK instrumentation provides multiple methods of both laparoscopic and open implant placement allowing the procedure to be tailored to the surgeon's or patient's specific needs.
