    • Description Aspen® Cervical Collars were designed to optimize support and comfort, two key components for better patient outcomes. The structure of the collar was engineered to provide substantial motion restriction without producing painful pressure points that can lead to skin breakdown or poor patient compliance. For the ultimate in comfort, all contact surfaces of the collar are cushioned with cotton-lined, breathable foam padding. These pads wick moisture away from the skin and keep the skin-collar interface dry. When evaluated in an independent study, Aspen® Cervical Collars were documented to provide effective support while producing significantly less than capillary closing pressure, the underlying cause of skin breakdown.1 Research and experience in medical centers across the country have shown that standardizing on the Aspen® Collar System can eliminate collar-related skin breakdown.2,3,4 No other collar can make this claim, so when your patient requires cervical immobilization, choose the Aspen® Collar System.
