|Description|| Exclusively for the airlines industry:
AirSeps AirLife On-board Oxygen Concentrators were manufactured for the airlines to assist their supplemental oxygen passengers and are still in use today by several overseas airlines. With the US governments FAA/STC approval for this product to be installed on specific Boeing commercial aircraft, AirSep set the standard years ago for travel oxygen in flight.
An AirLife concentrator is generally installed under the seat in front of the oxygen passenger in need of therapy and provides 1-5 lpm of continuous flow oxygen using aircraft electrical power. An air outlet feature on the unit also enables aerosolized treatments simultaneously via a handheld nebulizer.
Today, AirSeps LifeStyle Portable Oxygen Concentrator, a non-hazmat (non hazardous material) product, is pending FAA approval to make it the first therapeutic oxygen device that would be permitted to be both carried on and used on US commercial airlines for passengers with prescriptions for oxygen. The feasibility of patients use of their own equipment on board is under debate currently in the Federal Registers Notice of Proposed Rule Making, FAA-2004-18596.
