Features 
  • Variable Thread Pitch: The wide thread pitch at the tip of the screw penetrates the bone faster than the finer trailing threads. This reduces and compresses the fracture gradually as the screw is advanced.
  • Tapered Profile: The taper on the outer profile of the screw causes threads to constantly purchase new bone as it is inserted, minimizing strip-out and maximizing pull-out strength.
  • Headless: Allows the screw to be implanted below the surface of the bone.
  • Description The cornerstones of the Acutrak family are the Standard Acutrak and the Mini-Acutrak Screw Systems. Together they are used primarily for secure fixation for fractures and fusions of the upper extremity, but have been used for numerous foot and ankle procedures. The bones stabilized with these two systems have ranged from scaphoids to OCDs where there exists significant cartilage surrounding the bones, to phalangeal fusions where their headless design eliminates soft tissue irritation.
