    • Description During fiscal year 2004, Biomet plans to introduce the Acumen Surgical Navigation System to the global market, enhancing visualization for minimally-invasive and traditional procedures. The Acumen technology was developed in conjunction with Z-KAT, Inc., a private company based in Hollywood, Florida. Procedure-specific software has been developed for reconstructive, fixation and spinal procedures. Clinical evaluations are scheduled to begin during the second quarter of fiscal year 2004.
