Mandarin Oranges Reduce Liver Cancer Risk

Eating mandarin oranges or drinking juice with added vitamin A has the ability to reduce liver cancer and other diseases, scientists said. They cited two studies as// evidence.

In the first study involving 1,073 people in the Japanese town, Mikkabi, researchers found lower levels of chemical markers in the blood samples of people who consumed these fruits. These were the markers that were linked to a lower risk of liver disease, arteriosclerosis and insulin resistance.

A second study also found that people with chronic hepatitis who drank mandarin juice had a lower risk of developing liver cancer.
