Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravishankar has said practising yoga, pranayam and meditation will help youths to keep away from drug and alcohol abuse. //
'Youths crave for something different and it is our duty to introduce yoga, pranayam and dhyan (meditation) to them,' he said while interacting with reporters last evening at Tapobhoomi, a ashram of Brahmeshanand Swamiji at Kundaim, 15 km from here.
Ravi Shankar appealed to the youths to take up yoga to lead a healthy life.
'India can teach correctness to the entire world. Our country has diverse cultures but is still united. The world can take lessons from us. Despite our diversity, we learn from each other, which is the most important quality among us,' he said.
The founder of the Art of Living movement is on a three-day visit to Goa and is set to address the Anandotsav at Miramar beach, three km from here, today.
'Education is very important for any person and only Indians can open the world's quality management institutes,' said the spiritual guru who will be opening the Sri Sri Ravi Shankar Foundation's Management Training College in Goa.
In a special message to residents of the state, he appealed to the people to showcase the real Goa to tourists. 'Don't try to ape others. Let the people know about the real Goa...Its food, culture, lifestyle. We should showcase our own assets to them,' he said.
