Wrong Vaccination given during surgery in Derbyshire

Paige, was given a wrong vaccine before a surgery in Derbyshire the child was given a vaccine which is supposed to be given during pre-school booster. The booster contained vaccines against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough and polio. //

The parents Natacha and Roger Cockerill of the child was very much angry and upset over the mix up of jab and said, You put your trust in these people and then it's just thrown back in your face. It's made me angry and upset. They were not satisfied with the explanation and regret given by the Medical center.

Kirk Hallam Medical Centre, Ilkeston, is investigating the reasons for the mix up but said it would not have caused any harm. It admitted that the child was given the wrong jab. The Hospital authorities were not able to give strong reasons on how the mix up happened but promised that they would ensure that necessary steps would be taken in order that the mistakes does not happen again. After the incident four nurses who are responsible for the mix up are retained and the surgery group has apologized to all the families concerned.
