Work Together For Better health

Ranchi. On the occasion of 'World Health Day' that was organised by the Indian Medical Association (IMA) there was a call for all in healthcare industry to join hands to give better health to the society. //

The state IMA secretary, Ajay Kumar Singh, said doctors alone are not sufficient in providing healthcare to the people. He appealed to everyone including doctors, paramedics, nurses, laboratory technicians, physio-therapists and others working in the healthcare industry in India to come together.

“Efforts should be made to train the health personnel properly so that they can give quality service,” Singh said. He also stressed the need to for better training programmes from time to time and better salaries for them so that more talent can be attracted.

Ranchi civil surgeon Mrs.Ashrita Kujur stressed the need for coordination among various health departments. “Health personnel should follow the directions of the doctors, strictly and honestly,” she said. She gave examples and pointed out various incidents where the staff had fallen short and not lived lived up to their responsibilities.

Similar Coordination and cooperation between the various health departments was stressed by other speakers a the CCL Hospital, Gandhinagar. This was inaugurated by chief medical superintendent R.N. Kawat, and attended by doctors of the city.

A free health camp is also being held from April 7 to 11 at Dipatoli Cantonment and a health exhibition was inaugurated by Bulbul Ghosh, president of Army Wives’ Welfare Association, at Rooster Cinem.
