Wood Appointed As the First Chair of SAADAT

Tom Wood who headed the city's drug and alcohol team is now appointed to chair the Scottish Association of Alcohol and Drug Action Teams (SAADAT). Of late Scotland suffers from an increase in the number of people taking to alcohol and drugs. // He was appointed as the head of SAADAT at the first meeting of the new association in Glasgow.

SAADAT is actually a group which consists of both the former Scottish Association of Alcohol Action Teams and Scottish Association of Drug Action Teams. It is the representative of about 20-plus alcohol and drug action teams across Scotland. Mr Wood was very happy and honored to be appointed as the first chair of SAADAT. He said that new changes have to be deployed in order to tackle the alcohol and drug issue.
