Jammu, An Indian Army captain posted in Jammu and Kashmir has allegedly committed suicide in her home here.

Police sources here said Captain Megha Razdan of the Engineering Regiment was found hanging by her husband Captain Chetanya Razdan at their home in the army quarters at Kunjwani on the outskirts of this winter capital Saturday evening.

Chetanya Razdan had gone shopping in a nearby market area and found the door locked from inside when he returned.

'I peeped from the window and saw Megha hanging,' he told police officials.

Police have found a suicide note, the contents of which were not revealed.

'We cannot reveal the contents of the note till preliminary investigations are done,' police said.

The body has been sent for a post-mortem and the army has ordered a court of inquiry to ascertain the reasons behind the death.
