Where there is a will, there is a way!

A sexagenarian cardiac patient has entered the Guinness Book of Records after covering a 149-km route from Trest near Jihlava to Prague on foot in 28 hours. The 68-year-old Jan Klima's feat was announced Friday by Lubos Rafaj of // Dobry den agency, a Czech record database.

The man from Trest, who has suffered five heart attacks and been operated several times, walked to a regular check-up in Prague's Teaching Hospital. Klima left Trest Thursday morning and reached Prague's hospital 28 hours later. The ECG images at the hospital will serve as evidence for his record.

"It is over, I have established a record. I feel perfect," Klima said, admitting that the track was demanding.

He said he had only felt pain in the ankles after the long walk during which he ate sandwiches with ham and cheese, rolls and drank at least five litres of mineral water and three beers.
