One the the most respected doctors in the field of Psychiatry in the UK is facing charges of misconduct.//

The General Medical Council conducted a disciplinary hearing to look into the charges made against Dr Russell Reid one of the most famous gender psychiatrist in the UK for having apparently suggested to one of his clients to work as an ‘escort’ in order to pay for the costs that would be incurred for the sex change that the client required.

The transsexual patient has alleged that the doctor told him that following the sex change that he intended to go through “a market “ suitable for “effeminate” young men was available.

Dr Reid however has categorically denied having advised this patient to work as an escort.Dr Reid also faces another ten charges of professional misconduct in his treatment of five former patients ,as well.
