Unobtrusive wearable body monitoring,is a simple device worn on the body, such as a band around the arm, which measures a number of physiological levels. This includes time spent lying down or sleeping, time spent doing physical activity, body temperature, calories burned, and more.
Few medical advances in recent decades have had a significant impact on extending life expectancy.//Changes like clean water and immunizations have had a great impact, and,one belives that wearable body monitoring devices will be the next big change with significant behavioral improvements.

Researchers are currently involved in a project to determine what effect a wearable monitoring device will have on helping people lose weight. The armband will measure a person’s number of calories burned, and software will determine the number of calories consumed. From there, a computer will let the person see whether they’re on track to gain weight or lose weight. The idea is that a person will change their behaviors to keep them on a positive pathway.

Ultimately,Researchers foresees technology like this being used by everyone from assisted living facility nurses to rehabilitation therapists to athletes and even people in the transportation industry.
