The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), along with Publix Super Markets of Lakeland, Florida, are issuing a voluntary warning against allergen in Publix brand// Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough.

According to Maria Brous, the Publix director of media and community relations, "The chocolate chip dough may contain pecans. As a food safety precaution, we are recalling the product. There have been no reported cases of illness. Customers who have purchased the product may return it to their store for a full refund or replacement."

According to Publix, the label on the 'Chub' size cookie dough, with a date code of 17 Sept. 2006 and an item code (UPC) of 41415-00703, did not indicate that the dough contained pecans.

The FDA says the cookie dough was sold at the Publix stores in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee.
