WHO says MMR vaccine is safe and recommends MMR Jab to all children’

Though, some voice concerns over the use of Jab (MMR Vaccines), there seems to be an increased use of this vaccine world wide which is the only source of protection for children’s against Mumps, Measles and Rubella Infection. There is an increase of about 80% in the usage // of vaccine compared to last year.

During 1998, there were world wide concerns regarding the use of MMR vaccine as it was linked to causing autism in children’s after vaccination, the concerns were high after an article which was published in The Lancet by Dr. Andrew Wakefiled, but doubts were not proved and the same article concluded that there was no evidence to support to link between usage of MMR vaccine and development of autism.

World Health Organization recommends the usage of MMR vaccines to all children’s and views that MMR vaccine is the best form which can protect children’s from infection of Mums, Measles and Rubella. The Spokesperson for WHO says, “Our overwhelming aim is for parents to have their children immunized with MMR, for them to be confident that this is the right thing to do, and to provide parents and health professionals with access to clear factual information about the vaccine and MMR is recognized by the World Health Organization as having an outstanding safety recrd”.
