Video Games, The Latest Craze Of American Adults

Americans are increasingly orienting themselves to video games, highlights a new poll conducted by Iposs, a leading international polling firm//.

According to the poll conducted on 3, 024 American adults, nearly 40% of the respondents admitted that they enjoyed video games. This approximates to a total of 1,046 gamers, taking into consideration the sampling error as well.

Most adults either use a computer, a playstation or a console such as Xbox. Surprisingly, minorities and young adults are more likely to indulge in video games. In the same group nearly 45% described themselves as an online gamer.

The amount of money spent on gaming as a hobby approximates to $200, making it an ideal market for business. With such good individualized investments, the launch of the latest generation gaming consoles by Sony and Nitendo would really be a boon to the fun-loving Americans. Previews have also been conducted at the famous Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) in Los Angeles.
