opaedic surgeon should conduct at least 50 surgeries. The ultra-sound tests and X-rays have also been fixed at around 75 and 120 every month at the district hospital. And the doctors at the district women's hospitals have been asked to conduct at least 50 surgeries every month.

Dr Shantimal Singhavi the Chief Medical Officer has said that in observance to the order a circular had been issued to the CHC superintendents, chief medical superintendents of district hospitals and PHC heads. He explained that the main objective of the order was to ensure that medical and health services reaches to a large number of patients. He further stated that this order would also ensure that the government doctors would be more serious in going about their duties. He also added that with the standards of work expected being fixed, there would be strict action taken against all the medical officers who fall behind targets. He also warned that there would be an efficient system to ensure that the patient’s data would not be tampered with.
