The first face transplant patient in the world Isabelle Dinoire, appears to be enjoying life, and has resumed smoking, drinking wine, and consuming chocolate cake in large quantities. Her nose, chin and lips were transplanted after being disfigured by a mauling she received from a dog. //

The doctors are also encouraging her to eat well after the weight she had lost. She has been very cheerful since her transplant operation, and is savoring every moment of her new life. The tissue rejection problem which she faced a month back appears to have been overcome, and her speech is reported to be improving steadily.

The doctors attending to her have however expressed their reservations with regard to her habit of chain smoking. The patient is reported to have come to terms with her new face, and has called it a religious experience.
