Timely Detection of Type-1 Diabetes Crucial

Houston- Dr. Morey Haymond, chief of paediatric endocrinology at Texas Children's has observed that parents are unable to pick up certain tell// tale signs of diabetes in children.

Children may be struck with Type 1 diabetes when they are a bit more independent, hence parents many not be able to observe the common symptom of frequent urination. While Type 2 diabetes is more an affliction with the obese and the sedentary, Type 1 is far more dangerous marked by a rapid decline in health.

The basic reason for the occurrence of Type 1 diabetes still remains unclear; scientists are studying the genetic angle to this disease, most often the case with a number of patients.
