According to new US recommendations one should decrease cholesterol level to their nadir would be harmful for other beneficial functions of cholesterol//.

Aggressive means have been advised by the guidelines for affected groups to the tune of LDL-cholesterol concentrations of less than 1.81 millimoles per litre of blood (mmol/l) in high-risk individuals.
