The Lethal Side of Human Error – Three Die After Consuming Inaccurately Weighed Dru

Portland – To err is human they say but imagine when the cost of the error is three lives! Recently, the drug compounding company, ApotheCure Inc. //in Texas, is in bad light following the irrevocable error committed by a worker while making the drug.

ApotheCure Inc explained how a weighing error committed by a worker during the making of the drug ‘colchicine’, led to the death of three people in the Pacific Northwest, who consumed the drug which was made three times more powerful than it should have been.

This drug is used by Doctors to treat a medical condition called Gout. In this case, the patients were administered the drug to treat back pain.

The company has confirmed that the drug had been supplied to the Center for Integrative Medicine in Portland, from where the three unfortunate people received the injections.
