Doctors from the Michigan Head Pain and Neurological Institute in Ann Arbor found it in their study that tizanidine reduced severe headaches by 55%. Dr. Alvin Lake and his colleagues did a study on 92 patients, half of these patients selected randomly and were treated with tizanidine and found that the average intensity and the duration of the headaches improved by 51% in the drug group, compared to 34% in patients receiving the placebo.
