Study points out that HIV vaccine may not be accepted easily,,

Researchers feel that in the next ten years, the HIV vaccine will be ready for use, but there may// be a lot of barriers preventing the acceptance of the vaccine by the people.

The research done by University of Toronto researchers said that it is important that the health workers of the world gets the common people ready for accepting the vaccine, which may be quite difficult job to do. The researchers feel that there may be obstacles to the acceptance of the virus and it may be of the social, behavioral and biological origins.

Some of the fears associated with the vaccines, as were expressed by the participants of the study were of being branded as gays or promiscuous if they agree to get vaccinated, fear of contracting the disease from the vaccine itself, women are afraid that husbands may deny that they are more at risk and may refuse the vaccines etc. The other concerns of the participant of the survey regarding a probable HIV vaccine were the price of the vaccine, whether there will be any side effects on reproductive organs, and whether they’ll get discriminated if they vaccinate themselves or not.
