Malaysia: Asians can do well with stress busters. According to a world wide survey, Businessmen in Malaysia are a stressed lot, with Taiwan on top of the list. China, the Philippines,// Botswana, Hong Kong and Singapore follow suit in the order of their ranks on the “Stressed Out” Statistics.

Businessmen became the targets of a study by the researchers, where 7000 businessmen from 30 countries were observed , amongst them almost 57% of businessmen showed high stress levels as compared to only 39% in 2004. These statistics were made available by the 2006 Grant Thornton International Business Owners Survey.

Sweden had least stressed business men along with Europe and United states, although Europe and The United States were catching up to increase in stress levels.

The research portrayed a link between stresses and the vacation or number of holidays taken by executives that excluded the public holidays. East Asia, due to poor holiday allowance, showed an increase in stress levels last year.

European countries topped the holiday takers list, with the highest number of holidays on average as against just 12 days in East Asia. France topped the worldwide holiday league table, with an average of 27 days.

There was no doubt a direct link between stress and holidays, according to the surve.
