A unique world class healthcare facility, supported by Welcare World Health Systems, has been launced in the New Dubai region. // A full service ambulatory health care service comprising of outpatient, emergency, day care surgery and diagnostic // services had been recently inagurated in Knowledge Village.

The new facility, Welcare Ambulatory Care Center is open from 8 am to 11 pm and fucntions 6 days a week. It comprises of a team of nearly 24 doctors, nurses and other other paramedical staff. Several outpatient and specialty clinics, an emergency care center, intensive care unit and ambulance and surgical services are amonst the services provided.

“This Ambulatory Care Center represents a new generation in healthcare in the UAE, which is well established in the United States and fairly popular in the UK and parts of the European Union, but not hitherto known or used in this region. What is known is the entity called 'Minor Surgery', which generally covers usual procedures like Suturing of wounds, Incision and Drainage of abscesses, Dressing of wounds etc. This, really, is not what comes under Day Care Surgery”, said Dr. Sumedha Sahni, Director of Quality Assurance and Head of Satellite Centers, Welcare World Health Systems.

“What makes this Center so special is that it offers convenient walk in/walk out services covering a wide range of diagnostic and treatment procedures, all under one roof, in an atmosphere of personalized care. Thus, the Center is a unique mix of primary level healthcare and the surgical expertise generally restricted to larger hospital settings”, she further added.

The central location of the healthcare facility is belived to facilitate easy access for residents of Umm Suqeim, Dubai Marina, Emirates Hills, Jebel Ali and the TECOM free zones. The lack of any other facility within a 15km radius is another added advantage.
