Sophos's global network of virus, spyware and spam analysis centers, have warned users not to fall for a chain letter that is spreading across the internet.//

This letter claims that lipstick causes cancer.

The emails claim that some brands of lipstick contain a dangerously high level of lead which can cause cancer.

But Cancer Research UK has confirmed that the email claims are not true.

Sopho has asked the users to simply delete the email, and not forward it onto their friends and colleagues.

Graham Cluley, senior technology consultant for Sophos asked the people to check the fact before believing in this data.

He said that these chain letters are a big waste of time.

The letter says that higher the lead content, greater is the chance of causing Cancer.

It also talks about a simple test to detect the content of the lipstick.
