South African Died By A HIV Shunned Drug

A politician's daughter in South Africa was embroiled in a fresh HIV/Aids yesterday and killed by an anti-retroviral drugs in favour of a diet containing// garlic, olive oil and lemons.

‘Anti-retroviral drugs is believed to increase the lifetime of HIV victims’, said Treatment activists.

Mark Heywood, of the Treatment Action Campaign (TAC), said ‘Instead of objective decision-making about medical subjects, political measures coming from within the heart of the ANC is creating confusion around medicine and creating direct pressure on many individuals not to take the drugs.

The enormous support given by President Thabo Mbeki, pushed the health minister, Manto Tshabalala-Msimang, to made meeting and conferences about the drugs' effectiveness and safety.

Ms Bhengu, was a scientific proof for the diet containing garlic, olive oil, lemon and herbs recommended by a nutritionist to her by the health minister against HIV virus.

Ms Bhengu's family defended her right to shun anti-retrovirals and accused the TAC of exploiting her death as part of its running battle with the government.

The efforts taken for treatment of HIV/Aids patients will be highlighted today when a group of charities warn that 4 million children are likely to die before their fifth birthday, where need to creat a new remedy is in view, which is a must.
