Slimmer not happy compared to Obese people

Study has showed that slimmer people mostly commit suicide and are unhappy compared to obese people. It is found that depression level decreased as Body Mass Index (BMI) increased. //It is generally thought that people who are overweighed felt very depressed but the research results found reverse of it.

Professor David Gunnell and his team from Bristol University compiled data from various studies and found that people who committed suicide had a lower BMI than the average and supports the view that fatter people have less problems compared to thinner people that lead to suicide.

The study results found that an increase in BMI, reduced the risk of committing suicide, which may be due to development of insulin resistance which increases the hormone seratonin in overweigh persons which reduces the risk of depression and an intention to commit suicide.
