Sleeping pill wakes up comatose patient

A patient lying in a vegetative state for over 3 years woke up after being administered a sleeping pill, given to assuage a spell of restlessness//. This pill will hit the research table for thorough clinical testing.

Zolpidem, the name of this sleeping pill, will be clinically tested on 30 patients during the course of this year, to check out its potential to temporarily awaken people out of coma. After the initial success, the pill has been administered to two other PVS patients, who have also portrayed positive responses.
