Sick Toddler Has Bone Marrow Transplantation

One-year-old James Hynes, from Dundrod, UK has undergone what could be a life-saving bone marrow transplant operation in Germany//. Doctors told his parents earlier in the year that the infant could not be saved. After an extensive public campaign, the NHS agreed to fund the surgery. His parents found a German doctor through a website and he agreed to perform the surgery privately. The Eastern Health and Social Services Board agreed to give £100,000 for the operation after doctors agreed the kid had a chance. However there is only a 20 to 30 percent chance of success. "We've got the chance - now it's in God's hands. We just hope it keeps everything at bay," said James' father Jim. "We were a bit worried this morning, because he didn't seem his normal self, but within minutes of seeing us coming through the door, he just brightened up again."
