Allergic reactions can be caused by shampoos, which are also said to be connected to cancer. As many as 26 shampoos were examined, and seven of // them were seen to contain halogen organic compounds which may give rise to skin allergies, according to the German magazine Oeko-Test.

Perfumes found in six of the shampoos could cause allergic reactions. Diethylphthalate, which can affect the natural protection mechanisms of the skin, was detected in some of the products.
