Second Youngest Child in the World to Undergo Eye Surgery

According to the news report a seven-week-old British baby who was born blind was successfully operated//.

Aaron Rai received an artificial cornea and is now the second youngest child in the world to undergo the surgery. He was born blind in one eye.

He underwent the surgery in the New York State.

James Aquavella, of the University of Rochester Eye Institute who performed the surgery on the kid said that there were no complications.

His parents, from Windsor said that the surgery was not performed by any doctor in Britain and so the baby had to undertake the procedure in US which costed them £11,000.

In conclusion the doctor said that such operation kindles hope in parents whose children are born blind.
